Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Push to Main, LLC, doing business as Cookin (“Cookin”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of the Cookin website and mobile applications (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Cookin helps you collect and organize recipes. You can submit links, photos, videos, and text, and the Service parses them into structured recipes, organizes them into a library, and offers related features such as meal planning and grocery lists. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
3. Your account
You need an account to use most of the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us promptly at support@cookin.app if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
4. Your content
“User Content” means anything you submit to the Service — links, photos, videos, recipe text, notes, and edits. You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and display your User Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service for you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where limited retention is required for backups or by law.
You are responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit it and that it does not violate any law or the rights of any third party, including copyright. Recipes you save from the web or social media are stored for your personal, non-commercial use.
5. AI processing
The Service uses third-party artificial-intelligence providers to parse and structure the content you submit. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on the Service for allergen, nutrition, or food-safety information — always verify ingredients, quantities, and cooking instructions yourself, especially where allergies, dietary restrictions, or food safety are concerned.
6. Third-party content and services
The Service interacts with third-party platforms and links to third-party content (for example, recipe websites and social media). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, services, or their availability. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions purchased in our mobile apps are processed by Apple through the App Store, with subscription management handled by our billing provider. Prices are shown before you purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation and refunds for App Store purchases are governed by Apple’s terms and must be managed through your Apple account settings. We may change subscription pricing or features with notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights while using the Service;
- probe, scrape, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its security features;
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where the law permits it;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission;
- submit content that is unlawful, malicious, or harmful to others; or
- use the Service to build a competing dataset or product.
Features described as unlimited are subject to fair-use safeguards: we may temporarily slow or pause processing that appears automated, abusive, or far outside normal personal use.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for your User Content, we grant you only a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended. No other rights are granted.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 9, and 11–14) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT PARSED RECIPES WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [PLACEHOLDER: STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [PLACEHOLDER: STATE], and you consent to their jurisdiction. Please contact us first — most concerns can be resolved quickly and informally.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable advance notice (for example, by email or an in-app notice). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
